Chief Chris Whytock runs a department composed of both career and volunteer firefighters. They serve a city of just over 7,000, and face many of the same challenges small (or even mid-size) departments face: budget troubles, recruiting and retention problems,, and so on.
But Chris, who has been at RFD since 1999, says he loves the people working there. His pride shows in this interview, suggested by listener Jared.
