Ty is a lieutenant with the Johnston-Grimes Iowa Metropolitan Fire Department with more than 10 years’ service.
He has a managing officer certificate from the National Fire Academy and is a member of the Iowa Society of Fire Service Instructors.

Even though I am not a firefighter, I was able to relate to what our wonderful firefighters have to deal with in such situations.
With great questions and knowledge on part of the host and expertise of the guest fire officer , this podcast experience brought to me a real feeling and understanding of the life-saving decisions that have to be made by our firefighters.
